Technology can make your dentistry easier and more accurate while also providing you with better results! Dr. Chris Meunier is dedicated to continuing education and to keeping our office up to date with the latest that modern dentistry has to offer.

When Dr. Meunier finds technology that is proven to improve your care, he brings it into our office because it is an investment in you and your smile is important to us.

Here are some of the technology breakthroughs that allow us to give you the best dental care possible.

3-D Cone Beam Imaging | Reliant Family Dental

3-D Cone Beam Imaging

The success of your dental implant depends on accurate placement within your bone. At Reliant Family Dental, we use 3-D cone beam technology to locate the densest part of the bone to provide your dental implant with greater stability.

We use our software to create a surgical guide based on our 3-D images so implant placement goes exactly as planned! Using 3-D images allows us to avoid sinuses and bone grafting procedures whenever possible, while still providing exceptional outcomes.

Television above every dental chair | Dentist Evansville IN

Televisions in Rooms

We all need a few minutes to ourselves just to unwind and relax. We encourage you to do that while you are with us! We even have televisions in our treatment rooms so you can catch up on a favorite show or watch a movie during your treatment. We also have kids' shows available so your little ones can sit still during an appointment.

We encourage you to make yourself at home while you are with us and choose a show to help pass the time while we give you a beautiful, healthy smile.

Patient getting nitrous oxide | Dentist Evansville IN

Nitrous Oxide

If you are nervous about trips to the dentist, you are not alone. Millions of Americans dread their routine exams, cleanings, and especially any treatment they might need.

We can help.

We offer nitrous oxide sedation to take the edge off when you have dental work in our office. We choose nitrous oxide because it is safe for most patients and wears off quickly. It won't require you to have a driver at your dental appointment.

We control the level of sedation with the turn of a lever to make sure you stay relaxed for your treatment. Once your procedure is done, we can turn off the nitrous oxide and you will feel like yourself again in just a few moments.

Nitrous oxide is mild. Most patients report feeling relaxed and carefree. It is so safe, we can even use it on nervous kids.

Intraoral Camera | Evansville IN Dentist

Intraoral Camera

Explaining dental conditions to you is helpful, but it has its limitations. What if you could actually see what we see?

At Reliant Family Dental, you can!

We use digital intraoral cameras to take close-up pictures of your teeth. That way, if Dr. Meunier sees something he is concerned about, he can bring the image up on our in-room monitors and show you your condition. Things like gum recession, cracked teeth, broken restorations, even certain lesions can be captured to better explain both your condition as well as your treatment options. That way, you can make a great decision regarding your oral health.

We can also use our intraoral cameras to document and monitor your conditions over time, noting any dramatic changes. The images can easily transfer electronically to your insurance company when additional documentation is necessary.

Digital Dental X-Rays | Dentist Evansville IN

Digital Dental X-Rays

If you are wondering whether your x-rays are really necessary, it may be because you are concerned about too much radiation. You will be happy to know that at Reliant Family Dental, we use digital dental x-rays, which emit up to 90 percent less radiation than traditional film x-rays. You actually get more radiation by being outside!

Not only are digital x-rays safe, but they also give us high-resolution images that are far superior to old films. Dr. Meunier can take advantage of the digital images by zooming in, adjusting exposure, and improving contrast. This means that he can make diagnoses earlier than ever, so we can identify conditions early, when they are easiest to treat.
